Characteristics:
It may be confused with O. muricata and O. proxima, but have larger and fewer tubercles. The mantle has usually a more circular shape and may reach a diameter of 32 mm. The color is white, light yellow or beige.
Habitat:
It is most frequent just below the tidal zone, sitting on algae and feeding on bryozoans, but has been observed as deep as 200 meters.
Distribution:
It is registered in the East Atlantic Ocean, from Trøndelag, Norway to France.
