Characteristics:
The color is usually brown or pink or any shades in between. The 1-3 mm thick main stipe may reach a length of 40 cm and has alternate side branches.
Habitat:
It us usually founds on depths ranging from 2 to 20 meters.
Distribution:
It is widespread in the North Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
