Characteristics:
This brown seaweed is usually 20-30 cm of height, but may occasionally reach as much as 2 meters. The color is yellow brown. The fronds are alternately and irregularly branched. The segmented air bladders are pod-shaped.
Habitat:
Found in the lower tidal zone and subtidal zone, often in current exposed locations.
Distribution:
It is known in the North East Atlantic Ocean.
