Characteristics:
The shell is thin and fragile and does not exceed a diameter of 19 mm. The color is usually white, pink or reddish brown, often in a very irregular pattern. There are a large number of fine radial ridges. In contrast to the similar Palliolum tigerinum, it has fine spines on the ridges, especially towards the shell margins.
Habitat:
It prefers locations with sand or gravel on any depth from 10 to several hundred meters.
Distribution:
It is widespread in the North-East Atlantic Ocean, from Iceland to the western Mediterranean.
