Characteristics:
This is one of the nudibranchs that actually can be identified by its color. The body, rhinophores and tentacles are pink-purple. The white-tipped cerata can be pink, red or orange. The body may reach a length of 5 cm.
Habitat:
It prefers hard substrate where it grazes on hydroids. It does not mind some current exposure. A ships wreck is an ideal location.
Distribution:
It is registered from the Mediterranean, along the coasts of Europe, as far north as Trøndelag, Norway.
