Characteristics:
The body length may reach 26 mm. The coloration is very characteristic for this species. The cerata are dark green with a blue pigmented band on the upper half. The white tips are covered by a bright orange band. The body color is translucent white. The cerata are arranged in crosswise rows of approximately ten in each.
Habitat:
It feeds on hydroids, well below the tidal zone.
Distribution:
It can be found along the coasts of Europe, from Trøndelag, Norway to the western Mediterranean. There are also some registration from the western parts of the Atlantic Ocean.
