Characteristics:

F. blianus has a translucent body with white pigmentation. It can reach a length of 3 cm. There is a white line on each cerata as well as the oral tentacles. On each of the white tipped rhinophores there are usually three ring-shaped swellings.

Habitat:

It thrives on a variety of substrates, feeding on hydroids, but is also known to feed on eggs of other sea slugs. F. blianus is usually found on depths between the tidal zone and 35 meters.

Distribution:

This nudibranch is reported from both side of the North Atlantic Ocean. On the European side, there are registrations from Norway to Spain.
