Characteristics:

Like the Aeolids, the body of the Dendronotids is often long and slender. The somewhat bushy cerata are usually sparsely distributed over the mantle. They contain digestive glands and come in a wide range of colors. They eat hydroids, anemones and soft corals.

Taxonomy:

These nudibranchs were formerly considered members of a suborder Dendronotina. The taxonomy of nudibranchs is currently under investigation, based on recent genetic studies.
