Characteristics:
Adult individuals of the fireworks anemone are fairly easy to identify due to the brown and white striped marginal tentacles. The light, almost white labial tentacles surround a grey or light yellow oral disk. It is one of the larger tube anemones in Norway, in some cases reaching a height of 30 cm.
Habitat:
It seems to prefer muddy substrate, on depths between 10 and 100 meters, usually deeper than 20. It is very common in the fjords, often close to estuaries.
Distribution:
It is registered on the British Isles and in Scandinavia as far north as Troms, Norway.
