Characteristics:
This is an encrusting bryozoan, forming patches up to a diameter of 20 cm. It comes in different shades of orange, sometimes with a tint of brown or pink. The crust has evenly distributed bumps towards the center of the colony.
Habitat:
It is usually found on boulders or rocky substrate. It is copes well with low-salinity locations.
Distribution:
It is widespread in the Atlantic Ocean, across the northern hemisphere.
