Characteristics:
These branched colonies may grow to a height of 6 cm. The color is buff-brown.
Habitat:
It is often found kelp, in area where there are few sea urchins to graze it away. It is most frequent from the intertidal zone and down to 30 meters.
Distribution:
This species is widespread in the North Atlantic Ocean, along the coasts of North America as well as Europe.
This species is also known as Scrupocellaria reptans.
