Characteristics:
The light yellow colonies form small, highly branched bushes, less than 8 cm tall. The branches have a circular cross-section and narrow towards the tip.
Habitat:
It is usually found on rocky substrate, but sometimes on hydroids or algae, as well. The depth range is usually between 14 and 400 meters.
Distribution:
It is registered along the Atlantic coasts of Europe, from Norway to Portugal, including the British Isles.
