Characteristics:
In the Northern parts of Norway it can reach a body length of more than 4 cm. Further south it is usually smaller, but this is still one of the larger amphipods. The color is red or orange. On the back it is has a very pronounced keel.
Habitat:
It is usually subtidal, found feeding on hydroids.
Distribution:
Gammarellus homari is widespread in the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
